Skrillex in 2011
Skrillex, or Sonny John Moore, is a dubstep/brostep artist. He was born on the 15th January 1988 in Los Angeles. Before performing dubstep, he was a member of the post-hardcore band From First to Last. He was the lead singer from 2004 to 2007. He then left the band and produced his first album called My Name is Skrillex EP. He later released Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites EP in 2010 and More Monsters and Nice Sprites in mid-2011. He was then nominated for 5 grammy awards in November 2011 and won 3: Best Dance/electronica album, best dance recording and finally best remixed recording. He then released Bangarang EP. His song 'Imma Try it Out' was featured on three occasions in Black Ops 2 and his song 'Bug Hunt' was composed for the film 'Wreck-it Ralph.'
